Semex Jerseys Successful At NAILE & Royal

Jerseys November 2011After a spectacularly successful run at World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin, Semex scored big again – twice at national shows and sales in Louisville, Kentucky and Toronto, Ontario.

Semex’s strength came in numbers at the All American Junior Show on November 5th.  Of the 200+ head shown nearly 25% were offspring of the 20 Semex marketed sires represented that day.  In all, 11 top 3 placings were earned by Semex marketed offspring.

The All American Open Show on November 6th was represented by 24 different Semex marketed sires.  Two 0200JE00427 Select-Scott Minister daughters earned the most notable honors of the day for Semex.  Electra’s Eternal Star, exhibited by Waverly Farm, Clearbrook, Virginia was the Reserve Intermediate Champion.  The Senior and Grand Champion Jersey, later named the Supreme Champion of the 2011 NAILE was Pine Haven SSM Marmie EX-94%-5YR-USA exhibited by the Sauders of River Valley Dairy of Tremont, Illinois.

Other highlights from the NAILE include: WF Comerica Glenna-P was the Reserve Champion of the Jersey Jug Futurity, sired by 0200JE00131 Bridon Remake Comerica; Semex sired lots averaged $6,830 in the Pot O’ Gold Sale with BW Renegade daughters averaging $9,000 including the second high selling female at $14,000!

Semex’s numbers were even stronger in the National Jersey Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair as daughters of Semex marketed sires represented half of the entries!  In all, 33 different Semex marketed sires had daughters make their way through the ring with seven class winners and 21 placing in the top three, and Bridon Remake Comerica was named Premier Sire for the second year in a row!

Top honors begin with the Senior and Grand Champion Jersey, who was also Best Udder of Show, L’Ormiere Fusion Christine EX-94-CAN sired by past Semex sire Molly Brook Fusion.

Other highlights include Semex sired Bridon Exploit Twirl VG-89-2YR-CAN winning the Intermediate and Reserve Grand Champion as well as International Futurity Champion. Twirl is sired by 0200JE00144 Bridon Jades Exploit. The Jr Champion was Walkerbrae Comerica Nina sired by Comerica.  The Honorable Mention Junior Champion was sired by
0200JE00423 Lencrest Blackstone, the Reserve Futurity Champion was sired by Comerica and the Honorable Mention Senior Champion was sired by 0070JE09953 Rapid Bay Ressurection, marketed by Semex in the USA!

The results of these national level shows in the USA and Canada prove without question, that Semex does indeed work everywhere with astounding levels of success.
